American Bitcoin start-up Circle opens European HQ in Dublin

American bitcoin company Circle Internet Finance is building out its international operation from Dublin with a newly opened office and hiring in progress.

It has appointed Irish former banker Garrett Cassidy as its head of Europe and may seek to appoint an Irish presence to its board.

It has had several discussions with the Central Bank here about bitcoin regulation.
