This week’s leader, Mary Currie from Dublin, and third-placed Martin Naughton from Galway showed remarkable fortitude as they shorted Amazon ahead of its results announcement last Tuesday.

Amazon suffered a dramatic 58 per cent drop in second-quarter net income as their partnership ended with toy supplier ToysRus.com. The stock plummeted 10 per cent at the open of trading netting our leader a €22,000 profit.
