AltaScience secures ‘seven-figure’ funding

Dublin-based medical devices firm AltaScience has completed its first round of funding and plans to commence clinical trials on its technology by early next year.

Dublin-based medical devices firm AltaScience has completed its first round of funding and plans to commence clinical trials on its technology by early next year.

The firm is developing an device it has invented that can be implanted in a woman’s fallopian tubes to provide permanent sterilisation.

The firm has secured funding from Powerscourt Investments, an investment vehicle and advisor to a range of developing companies.
