The ESB's stg£230 million Coolkeeragh power station in Derry will be officially opened this week against a backdrop of talks about an all-Ireland energy market.

The Minister for Communications, Noel Dempsey, and Northern Ireland MP Angela Smith, who has responsibility for enterprise, trade and investment, are to meet on Tuesday to discuss the draft development framework for an all-Ireland market.
