Alfa Romeo tops safety test

The new Alfa Romeo 159 has achieved a top five-star rating in the EuroNCAP crash-safety test.

The new Alfa Romeo 159 has achieved a top five-star rating in the EuroNCAP crash-safety test. It scored 94 per cent in the frontal impact test and 89 per cent in the side impact collision.

Protection for a small child in a properly-attached baby seat was a four-star, 79 per cent rating. However, the 159 only scored a single star for its pedestrian protection, which was rated as poor.
