Airtricity in €200m bid for Treasury-backed energy firm

Eco Wind Energy, a wind energy firm backed by Johnny Ronan and Richard Barrett’s Treasury Holdings, has received a €200 million buyout approach from Airtricity.

Eco Wind Energy, a wind energy firm backed by Johnny Ronan and Richard Barrett’s Treasury Holdings, has received a €200 million buyout approach from Airtricity.

Airtricity made the approach in recent weeks, and the two sides are in early stage negotiations. Eco Wind Energy is also in negotiations with one other interested party, a European wind operator.
