Airline rivals to speak at airport conference
Delegates at this week’s conference on airport development are due to witness what is known in the industry as a near mid-air collision.
Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion and the man vying to buy the former state airline, Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary, will come perilously close to crossing paths. The conference, entitled Towards Sustainable Airport Development, begins tomorrow at the Great Southern hotel in Dublin Airport. The aim of the event is to give a platform to everyone with an interest in the development of the airport, from the airlines to local residents.
