AIB has no plans to sell its multimillion euro collection of more than 3,000 art works, despite continuing pressure on the bank’s balance sheet.

AIB has no plans to sell its multimillion euro collection of more than 3,000 art works, despite continuing pressure on the bank’s balance sheet.

The bank said last month that it planned to raise €1.5 billion, on top of the €3.5 billion provided through the government’s recapitalisation plan.

‘‘Potential sources of this capital include the disposal of assets,” the bank said.
