AIB Corporate Finance and UBS Securities in London have won the potentially lucrative contract to advise the government on the sale of Aer Lingus.

AIB previously advised the government in 2000 on a planned flotation which never went ahead. UBS, the giant Swiss-owned financial group, is a major player on international financial markets.
