AIB says ATM issue has been fixed

AIB said that its customers are no longer experiencing issues with their debit cards on non-AIB ATMs and all card transactions are operating as normal

AIB said that its customers are no longer experiencing issues with their debit cards on non-AIB ATMs and all card transactions are operating as normal.

AIB began experiencing difficulties on Friday as the busiest shopping weekend of the year kicked off. Many were unable to withdraw cash from bank machines not operated by AIB. In store and online transactions were not impacted. The bank is continuing to monitor the situation, it said in a statement.
