AIB puts Meath hotel into receivership

The fourstar Johnstown House Hotel & Spa in Enfield, Co Meath, has gone into receivership, writes Ian Kehoe.

29th May, 2010

AIB, the hotel’s main lender, took possession of the property last week in an effort to protect its loans.

The property is continuing to trade, and all 130 staff have been retained.

Tom Kavanagh, a partner with Kavanagh Fennell, has been installed as receiver over the 126-bedroom hotel. The hotel includes a spa, a conference centre and extensive facilities for sports training, including specially installed all-weather training pitches.
