AIB mortgage increase could spark new round of rate rises - report
AIB is reported to be planning a new increase in variable rates.
AIB is reported to be planning a new increase in variable rates. The Irish Independent quoted AIB chief executive David Duffy as saying that this would not involve “a whole series” of rate rises for its 70,000 customers who are on variable rates.
But the report said that the move could spark a new round of rises from other lenders that could hit the 300,000 people in total who are on variable rates.
