A new witness has come forward to support the executive whom Allied Irish Banks is trying to sack over last year's €25 million foreign exchange overcharging scandal.

Edward Mulhall, an assistant manager at the Strategic Development Unit (SDU) in Bankcentre, has said that AIB director Aidan McKeon was in charge of the unit responsible for the foreign exchange increase in 1995 before his transfer to Britain.
