Irish banking stocks continued their bounce after a reassuring trading statement from AIB.

Perhaps investors in Irish stocks are beginning to hear the sound of a market turning a corner. Despite a renewed bout of selling earlier in the week after a downbeat assessment of banking stocks by local stockbroking firm Merrion, Thursday saw AIB build on the fightback that began with Anglo Irish Bank’s results a week earlier.
