AIB has announced a change to its lending criteria on properties where values exceed €400,000.

Maximum lending on properties where the values exceed €400,000 is being reduced to 85 per cent.

AIB has announced a change to its lending criteria on properties where values exceed €400,000.

Maximum lending on properties where the values exceed €400,000 is being reduced to 85 per cent, down from the previous limit of 92 per cent. The bank is leaving the limit unchanged at 92 per cent for properties less than €400,000.

The change means that where the property value exceeds €400,000, borrowers will need to come up with €60,000 of their own funds....
