Aer Lingus traffic static but long haul booms

Long haul operations continued to be the star performer at Aer Lingus during December, with an 11.8 per cent increase in transatlantic traffic over the same month in 2012.

Aer Lingus flew 733,000 passengers in December 2013.

Long haul operations continued to be the star performer at Aer Lingus during December, with an 11.8 per cent increase in transatlantic traffic over the same month in 2012.

That meant that long haul operations had grown by 12.2 per cent in the year to the end of December, although it was not enough to prevent a small 0.3 per cent slippage in overall passenger numbers at the airline during 2013.
