Aer Lingus traffic rises on transatlantic growth

Aer Lingus said its passenger numbers increased by 2.9 per cent to 1.14 million in July 2013 compared to twelve months previously after a big jump in capacity on its transatlantic routes.

Long haul flown passengers in July 2013 were 116,000, an increase of 17.2 per cent on July 2012.

Aer Lingus said its passenger numbers increased by 2.9 per cent to 1.14 million in July 2013 compared to twelve months previously after a big jump in capacity on its transatlantic routes.

Long haul flown passengers in July 2013 were 116,000, an increase of 17.2 per cent on July 2012, the airline said in its latest traffic statistics released this morning..

Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in July 2013 were 1,025,000, an increase of 1.5 per cent on July 2012.
