Aer Lingus to beef up winter schedule as traffic rises

Aer Lingus saw a big jump in long haul passengers in June, compared to the same month a year ago.

When its regional operation is included, Aer Lingus flew over a million passengers in June.

Aer Lingus is to add six new winter routes and increased frequencies as part of its winter 2012 schedule, the airline said.

The airline is to continue flying routes from Dublin to Copenhagen, Bordeaux, Venice, Verona and Stockholm, and from Cork to Brussels throughout the winter. Frequencies will be increased on a further eight routes including to Berlin, Vienna and Amsterdam.
