Aer Lingus strike must be called off - Varadkar

Aer Lingus is at loggerheads with its cabin crew.

The threatened strike at Aer Lingus, which has already cost huge disruption to passengers because the airline has cancelled a large number of flights, should be called off, said transport minister Leo Varadkar this morning.

Trade union Impact has accepted an invitation to talks from Aer Lingus in a bid to avert a strike threatened for Friday over the issue of cabin crew rosters. The talks are set to take place today.
