Aer Lingus offers state veto on Heathrow landing slots

Aer Lingus will guarantee the state a limited veto on the possible sale of 25 landing slots at Heathrow Airport in London when the company floats on the stock market later this autumn.

Under the agreed measure, any attempt by the company to sell any of the landing slots can be blocked by a combination of the government and any shareholder with at least a 5 per cent stake in the company.
