Aer Lingus October traffic rises

Aer Lingus has reported higher traffic in October, driven mostly by long-haul routes.

The airline said that its total passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, increased by 0.9 per cent to 962,000 in October compared to October 2011.

Short haul passengers were 876,000, an increase of 0.1 per cent on October 2011, while long haul flown passengers were 86,000, an increase of 10.3 per cent on October 2011.
