Aer Lingus is to consider leasing aircraft to airlines operating in North America or the southern hemisphere during the quieter winter period.

Aer Lingus is to consider leasing aircraft to airlines operating in North America or the southern hemisphere during the quieter winter period.

The move, along with reviewing the ‘‘work distribution duties’’ of staff, is being considered as part of the company’s cost-cutting and revenue-raising measures that were announced at its agm last Friday.

It came after first quarter losses this year, before exceptional items, of €53.7 million were announced....
