Aer Lingus board urges shareholders to reject Ryanair bid
UPDATE: Ryanair’s €694m all-cash bid for rival Aer Lingus has no chance of succeeding, Aer Lingus chief executive Christoph Mueller has said.
Ryanair’s €694m all-cash bid for rival Aer Lingus has no chance of succeeding, Aer Lingus chief executive Christoph Mueller has said.
He said in an interview with RTÉ’s Morning Ireland that the bid was “incapable of completion” and that it significantly undervalues the company. He went on to say that he foresees no problem for the government placing its 25 per cent stake in the market.
