Consumer advocacy group Beoir has called for the government to include a ''sunset clause in proposed legislation to introduce a minimum price on alcohol.

Consumer advocacy group Beoir has called for the government to include a “sunset clause” in proposed legislation to introduce a minimum price on alcohol.

Such a clause would require any minimum pricing legislation to be renewed after a set period. In its budget submission, Beoir said such a clause would be similar to how minimum pricing was introduced in Scotland.
