Administrators may sue Quinn actuaries

The administrators of Quinn Insurance have told the government that they are considering taking legal action against the actuaries of the insurance firm.

The administrators of Quinn Insurance have told the government that they are considering taking legal action against the actuaries of the insurance firm.

The administrators have sought legal advice to see if there is a case against Milliman, the international firm which was the signing actuary at the insurer.

Lawyers are examining an alleged failure to warn about significant under-provisioning on the company's insurance book while it was being managed by businessman Sean Quinn.
