Admin staff numbers differ considerably among hospitals

HSE criticised as questions asked over how such large variations in the ratio of frontline to admin staff can be justified.

Up to ten times more administration and management staff are working in some hospitals compared to others, new figures reveal. One in every three health service-funded staff member at the Dublin Dental Hospital is in management or administration, compared to just 3.5 per cent at Cheeverstown House.
