Ad spend dips to match France

Digital advertising remains the big focus of the media industry, writes Catherine O’Mahony

Irish advertising spend per capita is falling to levels well below those in Britain and closer to the traditionally smaller marketing regions of France, Spain and Italy, one leading buyer has said.

According to Alan Cox, chief executive of one of the biggest media buying groups, Core Media, brands look set to spend no more than $214 per head of population on Irish advertising this year.
