Ad agency employment returns to 2007 levels

Employment in the advertising industry has returned to 2007 levels and should exceed that level by the end of this year.

Employment in the advertising industry has returned to 2007 levels and should exceed that level by the end of this year, according to a census from the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI).

The research showed 1,281 people were directly employed in the industry.

The sector hired over 230 people last year and 33 per cent of agencies expect to increase staff levels this year.
