The National Consumer Agency recently published a comprehensive survey on the cost of prescription medicines.

The survey exposed vast differences in the cost of prescription medicine prices nationally. It also found significant differences in relation to pharmacies' policies on dispensing fees.

The NCA uncovered price differentials of up to 199 per cent for identical medicines. The survey generated significant media coverage, but the NCA was forced to remove the survey from its website last weekend...
