Accumulated losses at Vivas reach €7.5m

Accumulated losses at Vivas Health, the health insurance company owned by AIB and financier Dermot Desmond, climbed to €7.48 million at the end of 2005, according to recently filed accounts.

Accumulated losses at Vivas Health, the health insurance company owned by AIB and financier Dermot Desmond, climbed to €7.48 million at the end of 2005, according to recently filed accounts.

The firm sustained a loss of €3.6 million in 2005. Accumulated losses in 2004 - the year in which it opened for business -were €3.8million.Total assets at Vivas increased from €10.4 million in 2004 to €15.3million in 2005.The health insurer increased its earned premiums from €537,701...
