The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has appointed Mark O'Leary, a former senior executive at catering services firm Autobar in Britain, as its new finance director, write Ian Kehoe and Gavin Daly.
O'Leary, a 41-year-old Irish-born accountant, will be named tomorrow at a briefing at FAI headquarters in Dublin, according to political sources.
His appointment follows an interview process involving the FAI, the Irish Sports Council and the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism.
