Dozens of lawyers who failed to be appointed to mental health tribunal panels last June have now been told that they will be appointed after all.

In the face of half a dozen threatened judicial reviews, the Mental Health Commission wrote to unsuccessful applicants last week confirming that ‘‘in light of issues raised in relation to the selection process’’ they would all be appointed.
