Abortion and Lisbon Treaty

No wonder Senator Terry Leyden is reported as saying that the call by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe ‘‘is not helpful’’ to the government’s efforts to ensure a Yes vote on the Lisbon Treaty.

No wonder Senator Terry Leyden is reported as saying that the call by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe ‘‘is not helpful’’ to the government’s efforts to ensure a Yes vote on the Lisbon Treaty.

However, it is helpful for alerting those concerned with trying to keep abortion out of Ireland to the strenuous attempts being made by various European bodies to thwart those efforts.
