Abolish the Seanad and reform the Dáil

Next Friday, voters will be faced with a choice to abolish the Seanad or not. It is not the choice that this newspaper would have sought. We believe that voters should be offered the option of reforming the second house of parliament and that the issue should have been referred to the Constitutional Convention to come up with the best model for a second chamber.
