Biopharmaceutical company AbbVie has opened its €85 million expansion at its Sligo facility.

Biopharmaceutical company AbbVie has opened its €85 million expansion at its Sligo facility.

The investment will create greater manufacturing capacity to deliver new medicines for patients and will mean up to 175 new high skilled jobs for Sligo, the company said. The site is a strategic asset for AbbVie due to its involvement in the commercialisation and manufacturing of AbbVie pipeline products in liver disease, oncology and women’s health, it said.
