The government is expected to approve proposals before Christmas to spend €100-€120 million on sports facilities at Abbotstown, The Sunday Business Post has learned.

Sources say that the Minister for Sport, John O'Donoghue, will bring proposals to cabinet to give the go-ahead to the sports campus on the west Dublin site that was originally earmarked for the national stadium dubbed the Bertie Bowl.
