Against the backdrop of an increasingly challenging wine trade in Ireland, Tindal Wine Merchants will spend close to €1 million taking over the wholesale customers of rival wine distributor Charles Searson, The Sunday Business Post understands.

Searson's Wine Merchants, which has been struggling lately, is expected to wind down its operations in the near future.
