When my wife's sister and her fiancé announced that they were going to have their wedding in Italy, I had mixed feelings. It's true that summers actually happen in Italy, while they seem to be an optional extra in Ireland. There's also the financial argument: apparently the cost of a wedding in Ireland has become something akin to buying a boat.
