A life, a street, a drama

Gavin Kostick’s new play is inspired by a 70-year-old palliative care patient named Bill. The production will take place on the streets of Dublin, where Bill was born and of whose history he is a part

It began with a series of questions. Before writing his latest play, Gavin Kostick asked himself how he would view his life if he knew it was coming to a close.

He also wondered if, instead of being presented with a conventional drama, an audience was brought through a trail of dramatised snapshots from a single life, would it change their perception of that life story.
