These lovely winter-flowering perennials are an uplifting reminder that spring is on the way
If I had to pick a flower of the moment, top of my list would have to be the Lenten rose, Helleborus x hybridus. These dependable perennials are bringing life to the garden and reassuring gardeners that it won’t be winter forever. Hellebores are tough plants that will flower for years in the right place, which is a fertile spot in dappled shade, or a sunny spot that does not get too dry.
