The government's €1.1 million plan to renovate a ghost estate built by former IRA hunger striker Tom McFeely is now in serious doubt.

The decision to purchase and renovate the houses in Roscrea in Tipperary was announced in the run-up to the local elections by Minister of State for Housing Jan O'Sullivan and local Minister of State Alan Kelly. They had both visited the estate.
