A Clonmel property transformed from its dank, crumbling past
Number 20 was inherited by its current owner in 2014 following the death of his grandmother, who had moved in with her husband in the 1950s
The terraced Georgian homes on Anne Street in Clonmel are among the finest to be found in the Co Tipperary town. Built in the early 1820s, the row was designed by architects Thomas and John Tinsley on commission from Charles Riall, scion of a prominent local banking family. Riall’s wife Anne Roberts, with whom he lived on a landed estate just outside Clonmel, is believed to have provided its name.
