$60k Kickstart for Irish firm
Wearable tech firm Lumafit says timing is key to a successful Kickstarter campaign, writes Philip Connolly.
Raising more than $60,000 in less than three weeks without launching a product or giving away any equity – few Irish start-ups will have gained as much as Dublin-based firm Lumafit has done this month.
The wearable technology start-up set out to raise $60,000 on Kickstarter, the popular US crowdfunding site, but last week surpassed that target with 21 days to spare and is now hoping to raise more than $100,000.
