45m sought from Anglo over failed NY deal

Anglo Irish Bank is being pursued for up to $45 million by 24 Irish investors over the institution’s handling of the purchase of two landmark hotels in downtown New York.

Anglo Irish Bank is being pursued for up to $45 million by 24 Irish investors over the institution’s handling of the purchase of two landmark hotels in downtown New York.

Half the investors have already lodged plenary summons’ against the bank in the High Court in Dublin in relation to the 2006 deal, while the remaining 12 have threatened the bank with similar proceedings, The Sunday Business Post has learned.
