Bets placed at website Intrade.com indicate a 40 per cent probability that one country currently using the Euro will change its official currency by the end of 2013, according to a report from Bloomberg News.

In January, with huge uncertainty still surrounding the second Greek bailout, the same guage showed a 50 per cent probability of a country leaving the euro by the end of next year.
