€30 million plan for new hospices

At least three new hospices will be built around the country in a five-year plan being finalised at regional level by the Health Service Executive (HSE).

At least three new hospices will be built around the country in a five-year plan being finalised at regional level by the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The purpose-built hospices will be located in Waterford, Tullamore and at the new hospital being planned for the northeast of the country. They will end the longstanding regional disparities in hospice provision, identified in a report by the Irish Hospice Foundation.
