Renewable energy company Gaelectric has been valued at more than €100 million after raising €25 million in fresh funding.
The funding deal was backed by private investors and supported by stockbrokers Dolmen. It brings total investment at the firm to about €32 million since it was set up in 2004. Brendan McGrath, Gaelectric chief executive, said the funding showed ‘‘a continued appetite’’ for renewable energy projects despite the credit crunch.
