The chief executive of 3, Ireland's fourth mobile phone operator, has defended higher mobile phone costs in Ireland, saying they are due to "different market conditions" in this country.

The chief executive of 3, Ireland's fourth mobile phone operator, has defended higher mobile phone costs in Ireland, saying they are due to "different market conditions" in this country.

Bob Fuller, chief executive of 3, said the reasons for the higher charges in Ireland could be because of higher property values and salaries, but he declined to say what exactly was causing inflated prices.
