A director of Independent News and Media (INM) has taken a High Court challenge against the company's €1.87 million exit package for former chief executive, Gavin O'Reilly.

A director of Independent News and Media (INM) has gone to the High Court to challenge the €1.87 million exit package for Gavin O'Reilly, who last week resigned from the position of chief executive of the company.

Paul Connolly, who is a Denis O'Brien nominated member of the board, alleges that the deal was unlawful.
