Bord Gais, the latest entrant to the residential electricity market, says it expects to sign up 40,000 customers in four weeks, following the launch of a €2 million marketing drive

It attracted 25,000 new customers in the first week of a heavyweight promotion for the new service.

That should put it well on the way to making its target of 100,000 to 120,000 ‘switchers’ by the end of its first year.
